The beauty of Rose Quartz
It’s the season of Love! Gift yourself a stone from the heart, for your heart! Your Personal Healer! Let’s delve into deep healing and meaning of true love.
Rose quartz is often called the ‘Love Stone’, and is associated with the heart chakra. It is a stone of unconditional love and peace that opens the heart chakra to all forms of love, that is, self-love, family love, pet love, and romantic love. A beautiful pink stone with energy gives rose quartz the property of enhancing love in virtually any situation. It lowers stress and brings deep inner healing and self-love. Rose quartz is calming, reassuring, and excellent for use in trauma or crisis. In your existing relationships, it will restore trust and harmony, and encourage unconditional love.
Little is known about this beautiful stone that has been used in jewellery as a pink colored stone. Healing emotionally, rose quartz brings forgiveness, compassion, kindness and tolerance. It improves one’s self-esteem and sense of self-worth. It balances emotions and heals emotional wounds and traumas of the past, bringing peace and calm. Rose quartz has been used since ages in healing to benefit the heart, the circulatory system, infertility, headaches, kidney disease, migraines, vertigo, sinus problems, throat problems, depression, addictions, for slowing signs of aging, reducing wrinkles and for weight loss. It is also helpful for supporting brain functions and increasing intellect. Rose quartz is said to soothe burn-pain and blistering and helps smoothen the complexion. It is also said to be helpful in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and dementia.
How does it work?
Rose quartz gently draws off negative energy and replaces it with loving vibes. It strengthens your emotional status and sensitivity and aids the acceptance of necessary change. It helps one to express emotions and heartache in a verbally acceptable manner and clears off emotional conditioning that no longer serves life’s purpose; it soothes internalised pain and heals deprivation. Over time, with prolonged exposure to the stone, it gradually removes fears, resentment and anger.
For maximum healing benefits, wear this stone close to your body, especially over the heart, as it is the stone for the heart. If you are not comfortable wearing a stone, you can also place the rose quartz stone in the form of a pyramid, cube, globe, ball, cylinder or any sculpture/artifact on the heart, thymus, or in the relationship corner (Feng Shui south west) of bedrooms.
Sit with a rose quartz in meditation when your mind is feeling disturbed, it will help calm you down emotionally and bring inner peace. Holding a rose quartz and repeating positive affirmations lead to self direction; the stone connects to your mind and soul, and reminds you of your intentions.
Once you have set your heart free, your heart feels lighter and you have an overwhelming feeling of peace.
Know the Stone
When choosing a rose quartz pendant or ring, do hold it in your hand and only buy the one you personally connect with. Impurities and cracks or too many formations are not a good sign of stone purity. Chipped corners and cracks in the stone are not good signs from healing point of view, as visually, it sends messages to the brain of imperfect energy. Do not use stones that have been used by other people without purifying them, as the residual energy of the user may affect you adversely. It can be purified in soft running river water to clean and can be recharged under full moonlight.
